FAS's fire seal has been designed for use in fire resisting door assemblies to seal the gap between leaf and frame, or between separate leaves, in the event of a fire. When subjected to the heat of a fire the intumescent core material expands to fill any gap between the door leaf and frame. This forming of a robust char barrier will hold up the passage of hot gases and smoke as well as the flames. Fire Only seals are suitable for use on fire resisting door assemblies manufactured from timber, or timber doors with steel frames.
Standard sizes are available in the following dimensions (with PVC casing and self-adhesive).
SEALz® Fire Seals are supplied as standard in brown, light brown, dark brown, white, black and grey in 2.1 m lengths. They are also available in various wood-grain finishes and other bespoke finishes and sizes can be made to order*.
